Forum rules
This forum is for the listing, promotion, and discussion of the specifics of events in northern Taiwan (but not Taipei/Xinbei). Please include a date in your title (e.g. 3/25) and - in the post - an address in English if possible. If you are providing the information in the form of an online photograph/flyer/poster, it is also advisable to provide the essential details in text as well, so as to facilitate ease of cut-and-paste.

As we wish to encourage people to post their events here, negative commentary isn't welcome in the Events forums. You are, however, more than welcome to post the same debate-encouraging negative criticism of bands, artists, etc. in the Arts & Entertainment or other appropriate forums.

You can live here and have a great life and not be the least bit into living the local life. Clowns will try to diss you for it saying you gotta get down with the program, but fuck em, treat this place like a buffet and yous be on a diet. Take what you want and nothing extra, slam those oysters, but leave the bread sticks and dinner rolls behind. - Deuce Dropper

But, but, who's going to sing Danish hiking songs to the whole campground at dawn? Pre-recorded songs just don't have the same "up and at 'em" feel to them... :cactus:

Exactly. It's a tradition. Put off your silly sailing trip until another time.

I am pretty keen. I currently have three dogs and am only eager to bring one. If I can find something for the other two here in town, then I can come, so long as the road is reasonable for an older city car.

Do they rent camping equipment? We usually go to the campsite at longtan and rent a tent..

Quit being bums, you guys. I'll go rent some goddamn tents and sleeping bags for y'all if I have to!

And set them up too. So there.

I'm in, +2 (and possibly dog).

Thank you Lupillus, had no idea gear could be rented  .

Secondly, I was tempted when Kage decided to come, but the Husband has a busy month and I cannot leave the children behind with him.........and so if I decide to come it is my with 2 children (they are more or less nice kids )

Now, I'll rent gear, but someone will
1.have to point me in the where's what's and hows,

2. give me a lift to the campsite

3. Help me set up camp (I am sure I'll make my self useful in some other way  )

That said, what do you eat?? do you take all your food with you? cook on campsite? what about water??? Sorry if I am being a pest.

Again, thanks Lupillus :notworthy: for the kick in the behind, I am just afraid of doing these things by myself.

EDIT. Just read the OP about food and drink. Phew!!
