Forum rules
This forum is for the listing, promotion, and discussion of the specifics of events in Taichung and central Taiwan. Please include a date in your title (e.g. 3/25) and - in the post - an address in English if possible. If you are providing the information in the form of an online photograph/flyer/poster, it is also advisable to provide the essential details in text as well, so as to facilitate ease of cut-and-paste.

As we wish to encourage people to post their events here, negative commentary isn't welcome in the Events forums. You are, however, more than welcome to post the same debate-encouraging negative criticism of bands, artists, etc. in the Arts & Entertainment or other appropriate forums.

Please PM the Moderators or Admin if you have any concerns or queries.

Santa comes early this year as Taichung Improv kicks off the Christmas Season with a show sure to delight both children and adults. Using suggestions from the audience, Taichung Improv creates a variety of short plays that are spontaneous, funny, and highly entertaining.

Want to see us pretend to be Sponge Bob Squarepants wrestling a gorilla? No problem.
Want to see us pretend to be a man stuck on the moon? No problem.
Want to see us pretend to be ants in a chocolate box? No problem.
Come with your own ideas and shout them out when we ask. We will try to pick the best ones.

The show is ideal for kids of all ages. The show will be in English, with descriptions of what is happening before each play in Chinese. The show is very high energy and fun, which means it can be understood by kids that know no English, a little English, or a lot of English.

We request a small donation of $100 pp for the show.

We received requests from people from out of town.  We are sure we can accomodate everyone that comes, but as a special offer to our Taichung Improv fans, we will gladly add you to the guest list.  The difference between the guest list and those showing up is that, at 2:00, we will open the doors and allow those on the guest list to sit first.  Everyone else will be seated once the guest list is in.
To get on the guest list, email us at and let us know how many people you are planning on bringing.
Thanks and we look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
