I was wanting to go but not all four days, probably just a Saturday or Sunday, depending on what sort of music/bands are there. Maybe spend another day lounging on the (probably overcrowded) beach, being the whitest guy in view. (No, seriously, I am so white that when I take off my shirt people are blinded)

You can view the bands that will be playing here:

Unfortunately feardrive didn't make the list this year. Thanks to everyone for the support and hopefully we can make it next year. There are a lot of cool bands playing though like: .22, Gonzo, BB Bomb, Mr. Dirty, 88 Balaz and Half Mile Radius to name a few.

Honestly, how can you go wrong with a festival in Kending, beer, beach, beautiful girls, sun.....so get a ticket and head down there and support the indie music scene!!!!

Cheers

I was going to ask the same thing. I don't know how/who to phone to get a hotel room, but I tried some online stuff and the prices were so ridiculous that I'm not sure I really want to go...

This thread may or may not help: Cheap place to stay in Kending.

I stayed in a tent at a campsite last year. A whopping 100 NT per night. There were bathrooms and showers on site. Hotels are most likely looking for 2-3000 a night simply because they can.

I'll be heading to Kending this year, but avoiding Spring Scam. 1100NT for a hodgepodge of mediocre(at best) bands is a bit steep. Went last year with the intention of going every night, but we all decided after one night that we were happier at the campsite.

Ditto with me, if you could. Still not sure I'm going to go down. After a depressing time spent with a travel agent and finding there are like no flights anywhere and everything is super expensive, I'm almost tempted to just go into a 4 day cocoon.

The entrance to the campsite is on the main road, around a kilometer past the main strip with the night market, on the right side of the road. There is a small sign in Chinese. You go down a small hill towards the ocean for about 100m and you are there. If you hit the ocean, stop, you've gone too far.

are there any more specific directions to this camp site? Because I'm confused... it's ~1km past the main strip on which end of the night market? Do you have to reserve space at the campsite in advance, do you think? I'm concerned that if I got there on Saturday all the space would be full.
