2011 Fo Guang Shan International Buddhism Camp

Purpose: To provide young people worldwide the opportunity to improve their understanding of Buddhism, to experience life in a monastic setting, and to enhance their knowledge and resolve for cultivating a high level of enthusiasm and commitment for their religion – all in English.

Sponsor: Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA)

Organizer: Fo Guang Shan's International Buddhist Progress Society (IBPS)

Date: January 26 to 30, 2011 (4 nights, 5 days)

Registration: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on January 26, 2011

The program ends after lunch on January 30, 2011.

Location: Fo Guang Shan Monastery, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, R.O.C.

Special Features: All Buddhist lectures, meditation, and activities are conducted in English.

Room & Board: Provided by Fo Guang Shan (donations welcome)

Criteria: College and/or graduate students worldwide, enthusiasm, good physical health, a positive attitude, and must be proficient in English.

Number of Participants: 40 (limited enrollment, so apply now)

Deadline: Please apply via email (fgs6205@ecp.fgs.org.tw) by January 15, 2011. You will be requested to fill out an application form. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.
