My wife is a Filipina and im a Taiwanese ( but I'm holding a Filipino and Taiwanese passport at the same time < dual citizen > ) I've lost contact with my wife about a year and a half ago... she left me for another man... all I want is a divorce right now,, but there are some legal issues that are bothering me... here are the questions that are bothering me right now:
I'm married here in the Philippines.. so if I get a divorce there in Taiwan, will it nullify the marriage here in the Philippines... (Phil. has no divorce law... a marriage can only be nullified thru annulment.. ) so if I'm divorced in Taiwan can I still remarry or should I get an annulment here ... also which is very hard and very expensive ...and prohibits annullment if both consent are not present...
As I've lost contact with her is there any possibility that I can be divorced ... I'm in my thirties and time is running short to find someone who can be my betterhalf... so I would like to be free of these miseries... I'm a business man and I'm afraid of legal issues that she still has the rights to all I've earned as long as we are still married.. ( Is this correct ? )
Please advice ... please help me think of possible scenarios that can affect me in the future..... thank you very much for your time...
