It was surface, came in at Portsmouth I think. Delivered to the door by UK firm (obviously). I've asked the wife for details of the shippers.

Our cardboard boxes were bought at the post office and had a 30kg limit. It was something like $30,000 for ten of them and two boxed bikes.

The inevitable one more box of stuff that accumulated post event went in the same type of box but by Post Office air freight with a limit of maybe 20kg, for about $5000.

30,000NT for 300kg = 3000NT for 30kg?

So has anyone found a cheap way to send things back to the UK?

I was quoted TWD 3600 for a 14kg box. Is there anything cheaper?

Yeah from the Post Office. Just personal belongings, doesn't really need to get home quickly... Surface mail would be fine if it was available. But it's not. :aiyo:

However, I do know someone who sent about 60kg of stuff to England (two large boxes) recently and paid about NT$6000, ordinary Post Office air freight, which seemed very reasonable to me.
