I hate to think what will happen if MM runs into a grizzly.

Easy he'd give him a copy of Lonely Planet about Taiwan and urge him to visit.

Be sure to visit the Palin homestead, MM. I hear they have a great view of Russia from their front porch!

Went to see a sled dog exhibition today. Can't stand the way these people treat their animals. If they aren't shooting them dead they're driving them into the ground like cattle. Poor mutts were pulling heavy weights and not even on soft grass but fuckin snow. What kind of perverts are these Alaskans? God damn dogs did nothing but howl.

ran across a pack of wild dogs today. My what sharp teeth they had. I stood still and acted indifferent but it didn't seem to work. They looked like they wanted blood. Poor hungry beasts. Fortunately they went for the little girl from the Hispanic family picnicking nearby.

Crap too how Alaskans turn so many horses out to the meadows when they get old. poor things develop terrible pointy growths on their heads and their legs get thin and spindly.

Seems squirrles are a popular pet too as I see so many released into the wilds. Not sure how they make it.

God, the place sounds like an absolute shithole - no wonder the Russians wanted to sell it, and I can understand why they sold it for such a low price.

Anyway, try to think positively; all that weird crap makes for good copy, so you should at least be able to get some good stories out of it. That's what this other guy, Jack London, did. If Alaska weren't so crap, London wouldn't have sold a copy; he'd have remained a loser ESL teacher in Yunlin County or wherever he was working.

This most exciting breakthrough provides convincing evidence that the buckyball has, as I long suspected, existed since time immemorial in the dark recesses of our galaxy -- SIR HARRY KROTO, who shared the 1996 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for the discovery of "buckyballs", commenting on the discovery of fullerites in space
