Hi everyone,
I'm a Harvard student doing comparative historical research on genealogy work and it's evolution internationally since 1949. I'm in Taiwan near Taipei for one week now, then in Fujian next week. After that I'll be in Boston.
IIf you know of anyone who enjoys talking about their lineage and family, or their experiences with the revolution, I'd love to get in touch with them either in person or via email. My contact information is below, and I speak, read, and write Mandarin.
Contact me: dbean.genealogy@hotmail.com
Thanks!
In the mean time, does any have good stories about finding their roots in the mainland (xun gen), or about saving (or losing) genealogies during the 1949 revolution, Cultural Revolution, or following decades?
