A good starting point would be here:

In this context, one issue that may interest you is the issue of censorship.

Anyway, you are right, the topic is Ms. Ching Hai and her organisation, about which I think I agree with you (make sure you see that article I had linked to earlier: it points out a few extremely shady things)...

But the original article is here http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/2011-06- ... -movement/ I have noticed this article few month ago, it confirm many things I could read elsewhere, like in a thread in rickross forum :http://forum.rickross.com/read.php?12,51521,page=1

someone gave us flyers with a large pic of her on the Jazz festival in Taichung last weekend. I said "oh no that crazy bitch, she believes that you can live only from air (no need for any food), she is crazy" and my taiwanese gf said "I thought she is Buddhist". So I guess many Taiwanese believe that this is a Buddhism religion. I explained to her that she is the only god in her sect, and that she build a million dollar house in a national park without permission. She is also super rich, very good scammer. They have that channel running 24 hours in the Keelung (Jilong) bus station next to a "suprememaster" breakfast shop.

But at least they don't run around and tell you crazy stuff about evil and jesus and whatever like this bicycle Mormons.

Btw:once someone asked her why she would always wear jewelery and expensive cloth, she should use the money for charity or something. She answered that "god" doesn't care about appearance so therefor it doesn't matter what you wear.

Aren't most of these people basically fakers and charlatans, or am I just horribly sheltered?
