Volunteer work in exchange of accommodation?

Postby franck.friends » 16 Sep 2011, 02:34

Hi everyone :)

For my very first stay in Taiwan, I'm thinking about a different option : working as a volunteer in exchange of free accommodation.
This would help me save money and meet a lot of Taiwaneses at the same time.

Now, where do I find such opportunities? Since I'm looking for non-rural work, I want to avoid Woofing.

Also, what would be the most apropriate publication in which I could insert an ad promoting my will to become a volunteer in Taiwan?

One last thing : I speak only English, French and Japanese. I'm not a native English speaker. I'm 39. I'm french.

Thanks in advance :)

What country are you from? How old are you? There are working holidays for young people from certain countries.

I also know at least one guy down here in Tainan who would like to let a room to a foreigner for free provided he helps the daughter with her English.
