How can I get employed

Postby Militarygamer » 30 Apr 2012, 02:42

Last time I've checked in order fo a foreigner to work in Taiwan as a white collar worker, he or she must receive a monthly salary of 48000 or above. This is very difficult to satisfy as the average salary in Taiwan is around 3-3.5000, no way for a graduate without much experience to be paid that much. So far I have not came any company that is willing to offer me such wage, so how can I meet the legal requirements and work in Taiwan?

Look into the "Teaching English in Taiwan" posts. Teaching should get you at least 50K/month if you can handle kids.

Look for positions opening for foreigners, especifically calling for foreigners. You should not occupy a position set for a local, for the reason you have already stated. You simply cannot settle for less, if you want to stay here long term, you have to stay legally.

If any new arrival needs assistance in Taipei, I can provide it in exchange for Star Trek or Supernatural (the TV series) stuff or other sci-fi materials. Let me know what help you need by PM, along with what you have to offer in return. And yes, I am serious.
