Student / Part time job in Taipei

Postby Crousti » 22 Jun 2012, 20:16

Hey everyone,

I'm a swiss young student (20 years old) from Geneva. I first came to Taipei to study Mandarin at 師大 for 6 months but now I want to stay and I applied at MCU (International Business and Management english taught program). That being said, I really need to find a part time job.
Even if I'm still studying Mandarin, my chinese is still not good enough and that makes it even worst ! Therefore I can speak fluently and write / read french, english, spanish and italian. I also studied german for almost 6 years but forgot most of it. I just wanted to ask if one of you guys had contacts who could be interested by my profile or if you knew good websites to find jobs. I already tried to find jobs but almost all of them are teaching jobs for english language and they want native speakers. Moreover I'm really not interested in teaching jobs but my desires and my needs are two different things. :)
I'm just looking for any kind of part time jobs. (teaching, help companies with international calls, assistant, TV ; commercials (I used to be a model in my country), public relations, ...)

Thank you in advance, please feel free to post on this topic ! :)

Maybe you could check for potential internships at CCIFT or the Swiss chamber of Commerce ? Good luck

Checked the American Chamber of Commerce? IMHO, you are only 20 so finding something might be a stretch....

You don't think it could be an advantage in some circumstances ? :p
Anyways thanks for your help, I'll keep searching and we will see ^^

You could try craigslist. or Taiwanted. There are always a few non-english teaching job postings on there.
