Gay people outside of Taibei?

I'm hoping to end up teaching in Taibei this summer but in case I end up elsewhere in Taiwan, where should I hope to be after Taipei? I assume Gaoxiong and Taizhong are the next best places? Which are better and why? What kinds of differences are there? Thanks so much!!

If you want gay nightlife, or a wider social circle, Taipei is your only choice. And really, it's Taipei, and Kaohsiung, and Taichung. First level cities maintain their legacy spellings. This really isn't about you.

You could probably meet gay men who are married to women outside of Taipei-I meet them all the time and they wish I was gay.

Two or three gay clubs in Taidong. One of the top two places to dance or hang out for drinks with friends is owned by a gay couple. I think the name is Music Pub. And at least one more gay club there also.

Both gay baths provides free condoms and regular HIV/Syphilis blood test on a weekly basis. Both offer free anonymous HIV rapid test on a monthly basis as well.
