Yes you do, by your own admission. You judge whether a potential client should be charged or should get free treatment. And you keep your judging criteria to yourself.

It's FREE for gay male. One would have to pay for the test if not gay, I'm afraid
Still, it's an anonymous test service for whoever needs it

lofaawork,

Can you recommend another place where heteros can get an anonymous rapid HIV test (maybe here is a Hetero Community Center  )

How much is the fee for heteros to get the rapid HIV test in the Gay Community Center?

Since they are (by the sound of it) running on private funding rather than a bottomless barrel of gov't cash, that's their prerogative. But discrimination is still ugly, especially since it relies on "customers" discriminating themselves. The sensible thing to do would be to just charge at cost for the test kit, for everybody. AFAIK it's not expensive, about US$10 in bulk. There aren't many people who can't afford that, gay or otherwise.

1. Not so many clinics offer ABBOTT Rapid test, you may have to call and check before you make a reservation. Please note that it's very possible that you may have to present proper ID.

2. Basically, all free & anonymous rapid test services are for gay male exclusively island wide.

3. HIV rapid test will cost NTD500/EA. Please note that there is still the limitation of window period.

4. This pay service is available 1:30pm - 9:30pm Tuesday through Saturday.

Thanks!

I think 500 is a VERY small fee to pay for a test that is fully anonymous!!

So, the update is:

Paid and Anonymous HIV rapid test (ABBOT) for hetero men and woman: 1:30pm - 9:30pm Tuesday through Saturday.

It's unconscionable to discriminate for HIV testing. HIV prevention is everyone's concern.

All these complaints about having to pay if you are not gay. :loco:

Damn, it is only NT500, it won't break the bank.

Does anyone actually appreciate the fact that there is a completely anonymous, NON government, service where you can get an instant, reliable anonymous HIV test, and that this service actually bothered to find us and post their info on our little website? :2cents:

Quite. And I think the paying thing is perhaps for the gay guys who don't want to tell ANYONE that they're gay; they can pretend to be straight and go get a test; however "anonymous" something is, paying a negligible amount of money for the "straight" test will encourage way more gay locals to go get it. It's got nothing to do with straight people; they want gay men to take the test and they've given them another "option". I'm sure it's more to do with encouraging gay men to take the test, rather than denying straight men? Welcome to Taiwan!

Why complicate or discriminate? NT$500 is cheap. Everyone pays the same thing.
