Female condoms used in lesbian sex

The Taipei Times on Sunday ran a story on page 2 about women using condoms during lesbian sex, some radio station in Yunlin County, LIPS RADIo or something, got fined by the GIO for running a show with sex moans out loud during lesbian sex and the story spoke about one episode explaining condom use during lesbian sex.

I just don't understand and am curious. How do women use condoms during sex and why? I assume it's for safe sex purposes, but again, how? Learn something new every day and it's interesting. Can anyone explain?

Question then: How does one write and pronounce CONDOM in Chinese, BAO CHEN or something, memory fails, how does one write and pronounce LATEX BARRIER in Chinese?

ADDED LATER: by the way, just to show you how hot this topic is or how hot the entire article is, it must have got linked by some gay/lesbian sites oversaes or in Taiwan/Japan....that LINK above has over 4,400 hits in just one day, when most TT stories on the Net get around 200 hits total. There are some good pictures of dental dams on google, which I would link to this thread if I knew how to do this.

The dental dam is not to be confused with the female condom, which is for use in heterosexual sex and is inserted into the woman prior to sex. It kind of looks like a male condom, only its opening is bigger.

3 female condoms cost $21 cdn as opposed to 25 cent or less or even free for a male condom. why does society want to put all the responsability on the men, obviously they can't handle it.
