Top 10 of Worlds most polluting countries

Well, the Kyoto agreements are one thing but this is truly shocking.
While some of the below countries are supposedly perceived "green" - this seems to show the opposite :

The report includes a list of the world's top 10 polluting countries topped by Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates in the Middle East. They're followed by Denmark, Belgium and the United States. Australia, Canada, the Netherlands and Ireland make up the remainder.

Rationale :

Countries are ranked on their consumption of renewable resources versus their biocapacity, or ability to produce renewable resources and absorb CO2 emissions. Dominating the list are high-income countries, whose average ecological footprint is now five times that of low-income nations.

Makes sense to me. They should also look at pollution rates per capita.

They should also look at pollution rates per capita.

These results are obviously in most cases very different.
While MEA states remain at the top (not their fault manufacturing fuel for America's extreme demand as consumption) there are odd countries like Trinidad & Tobago , or Brunei occupying respective a nr 2 and nr 6 position. Or the Dutch Antilles - where people still use charcoal outside of the city

Certainly, countries like Belgium, Holland, Denmark as Ireland should be finger pointed as they do have the infrastructure as means reducing pollution.

In the list of Pollution per Capita - above 4 countries all are positioned well below Taiwan (# 25)

As should Australia! Millions of acres of empty land out there. Not too sure how solar wind farms would affect the immediate environment, though..

Meaningless, it's the overall pollution and type of pollution created which is important.
