Re: New particle found

I don't understand any of it, I just like it. Still confuses me I can't walk through a wall, because of mass. But I'm Cornish.

It's a well-known fact that quantum tunnelling doesn't work in Cornwall. Strange but true.

Now, is Steviebike really drunk, or in a state of indeterminate drunkenness until his wave function is collapsed by a not-drunk observer? And when that happens, is he decoherent or simply incoherent?

Stevie, are you the bod particle, the sod particle or the mod particle? I suspect you are the mod particle, based on you being a sound fella. :D #modfather

Nice start to the day, thanks. I'm particular about my particles and the SK particle I believe to be sound and 100% confirmed :D

I have to say there are a few wonderful posters on here and I'm very happy to have met their particles. Why does that sound wrong?

Partly. and in pragmatic practice, the word particles in this case particularly and practically point towards primarily phallic predisposition.

Who bothered to listen to the podcast I attached? Show of hands, so I know who now understands that they dont get probability, and that they listen to the superking! :D
We haven't even bloody got close to talking about effect sizes. Jebus Cripes, this ruddy 'clod' particle is looking less and less likely.

I'm the, 'ill shod,' particle. It's a nod to the Beastie Boys (RIP MCA) and to my penchant for wearing shoes till they fall to pieces.

Took two this morning thanks.

I just want space travel at close to the speed of light, I'm not too fussed on the mechanics of it all, just has to come down to a price point of a few grand for a millennium falcon and I'm in. So the LHC are making this possible for me with their efforts. I'm entirely serious.

Not really.

I'm no psychologist, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that a guy who calls himself King James and has his initials and "Vivat Rex" -- Latin for "Long live the king" -- on his custom-made Nike jacket, and has CHOSEN 1 tattooed across his back and WITNESS tattooed on one calf and HISTORY on the other calf might have a big ego. It is an ego borne of insecurity, and this is why he left for Miami in the first place: He wanted things to be easier. He wanted Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh at his side and South Beach a short drive away. That is the fundamental disconnect between James and Cleveland fans. They gave up on easy a long time ago.
