One suggestion is a "gathering for Mark" - perhaps to be held in Taipei. How about we get 5000 foreigners and their friends together?
Any other ideas?
I think you have very little idea of how much money has been raised so far...Suffice to say that Marks family will have few financial worries for quite a while.
A word of advice; Bullshit doesn't float well here.
It's really not fair to the people who have done so much, and invested loads of personal time and money to help...Once again, where were you when the fundraising venues were taking place?
The foreign community so far has been resolute in it's support of Mark, both emotionally and financially. People that don't even know him are volunteering to help with daytime visitation. The celebrity community in Taipei has done the same. Had you bothered to show up last Saturday night, you would have seen a fantastic example of community solidarity. You live in Zhongli as well...Don't you?
Lastly, This is a public arena, where any journalist could come in here snooping around for an update on Marks fundraising efforts and the general attitude of the foreign community regarding. Knowing them...It's bullshit quotes like this (and others you've made) that could end up in the press, showing discord where none really exists.
We all want the same thing...And the donations are going better than we'd hoped.
Stop swimming in the wrong direction...Please?
