protecting children from potential perverts

Postby Sherryx » 13 Nov 2006, 01:37

Hi everyone!

I don't usually post or read this forum since I don't have any children. But I do care about them, since I am a teacher.

I came across a website (which I'm not allowed to enter) but I am able to get one picture from this website. It looks like it is a Taiwanese website. I'm not even sure how I got to this website. A person I know, sent me a joke through yahoo messenger with a link. When I clicked on this link, I got to this picture.

It is of a naked Asian boy with a knife trying to cut of his penis. And more disturbing is that it looks like the boy's neck is injured...maybe from a cut.

I don't know if I should report this to my local police station, I don't know if the police will just laugh about it...sorry, but I don't have much faith in Taiwan's police. But I think someone should investigate where this picture comes from and the website where it originated from.

Anyone with any suggestions?

From a concerned foreign citizen. :help:

There are police websites in your own country (or at least should be) where you can send details of child pornography that you stumble upon, even foreign sites. You'd need to submit the url and some details of what you'd seen; they'll take care of it from there.

Good luck!

tell the cops. then tell me their address.sick bastards deserve to die IMO.

EVERY INSTANCE of child pornography needs to be reported.

Of course you should report it. If not to the police then you might try some association for children protection. It is your responsibility now that you know about it. Don't waiste time!

reporting online child porn

Postby Dragonbones » 13 Nov 2006, 12:28

Maybe try these links?

http://www.tinhat.com/children/report_pornography.html

http://www.iwf.org.uk/reporting.htm

http://www.asacp.org/
ASACP investigates these reports and determines the hosting, billing, IP address, ownership, and linkage of suspected CP sites. ASACP then forwards Red Flag reports to the appropriate government agencies and associations. These include the FBI and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as well as European hotlines. We also notify ISPs and payment processors when their hosting and billing services are hijacked by CP operators.
