umm I think you forgot tobacco or did I miss it ? you can get quite high on that especially if you use snuff. My brother in law in the Uk is always snorting that up his nose. It's quite nice actually and far more social than smoking as it doesn't cause second hand smoke. I wonder if not smoking in the MRT includes snorting tobacco?

The danger of most drugs is quite over stated I feel (including the so called hard drugs), although acid could mess up people who are having psychological problems anyway. The dangers of the hard core drugs are well over hyped and there isn't anything that is instantly addictive that is just bullshit. It's kind of like there is always a most nasty dictator, most nasty drug or most nasty breed of dog and it changes every few years. Personally i got bored of all drugs many many years ago and don't even drink these days well the occasional glass or red wine on Dr's orders and the odd smoke now and again. I reckon some people are just destined to get addicted to something whatever that may be. Sex, drugs, work whatever.

These days i just like a nice pizza and a glass of wine while watching a good movie ! Nothing beats it.

They sound great when you're on drugs....

The better stuff even sounds good when you're straight too.

C'mon, a good half of us forumosans are drunkards, are we not?

My maths is a little shitty so hold on to your hat... Everyone who has replied has to make a choice between having got drunk and having never got drunk, which means 64 people have taken the survey. 60 have got drunk, 4 have not. So, and I aint doing the percentages here, a whopping 60 out of 64 polled are drunks. Thats over 90% and thats all you need to know baby.

Yes. Your maths is a wee bit rusty.

No, he's spot on. the numbers get complicated as you're allowed more than one vote, and different people have different numbers of votes. the total number of voters is not 514 but (not ever drunk) + (got drunk) as Tom points out. Unless of course some people ticked neither, which was against the rules and therefore illegal, and we all know that that's bad. 'Mkay?

Right. I'm sorry. My statistics are a little rusty too. Too much something-or-other, can't remember what. 533 drug-votes. 12% of the votes for types of drug (not 12% of respondents) are for alcohol.

There should be a person counter and then every question should be counted as yes or no. Then you get 93% yes, 7% no for alcohol.

"Never done any except drunk"/"drunk and stoned" are superfluous, and possibly misleading if we have the total. They put alcohol and cannabis in a special category and allow contradictory answers. 68(total) - 12 (only alcohol) = 56 (the gateway drug). It's unlikely, but possible that people will have taken drugs but not drunk, making this way of counting imperfect.

Pot and hash are the same drug. It's like saying beer vs whisky.

Who's going to ask the administrators to build a more scientific polling device? I'm talking radio-buttons, check-boxes, the works!
