triops, prehistoric, horse shoe crab-like creatures

Postby shirley s » 07 Jun 2012, 20:57

Hi guys.

Bought a secondhand triops kit for my son. Of course, there were no eggs inside. The box says they come from Taiwan, but don't know where to buy them here. Checked online. Can buy them through Amazon and Australia, science kit materials.
Any ideas where to find triops.

Thanks,
shirley s

There's a crab museum in Toucheng, Yilan you could try.
“Everywhere else in the world is also really old” said Prof. Liu, a renowned historian at Beijing University. “We always learn that China has 5000 years of cultural heritage, and that therefore we are very special. It appears that other places also have some of this heritage stuff. And are also old. Like, really old.”

Muzha Man is right. Last time I visited that place they had what you are looking for.

There's a kid's store selling science kits, fossils, crystals and such things. Forget name exactly. There's a branch in the Miramar mall and one in the City Hall Eslite.

Paleo Wonders. Cool store. I don't know if they'd have triops; but it would certainly be a good place to try.
