Square *efficient*, air tight storage tubs?

Discussions about how to find those things that are not immediately obvious

Forum rules
1) Please search  before posting. Note that you should also search content-relevant forums (like Food & Drink for those items, and not just WCIF). If there is a content-relevant forum, the thread should be there, not here.

2) Please append your request to an existing thread if you find a stale one, rather than starting a new one.

3) Please post separately  for each search item, not one thread for "olives and sour cream". Two threads, one for each. This makes it much easier for the moderator to merge your thread with an existing one, if any.

Of course, if you still can't find what you're looking for, please do feel free to post, and we'll do our very best to help you find what you need. If you have any trouble using the search function or the forum, please don't hesitate to send a PM (private message) to the Where Can I find...? moderator asking for help. Happy posting!!! :rainbow:

Square *efficient*, air tight storage tubs?

Postby Pingdong » 11 Jun 2012, 21:29

need a bunch of storage tubs to keep humidity out, bigger is better but down to 1 gallon might work.

basically i really dont like all the rounded pretty liking tubs. i prefer sharp jagged square edges that fit into each other with as little air space between tubs as possible...I like my tubs like I like my flower pots.

All my herbs and foods I had dried over winter and didnt seal in bags are now moldy. I have a pretty wicked mulch for the garden now, but out a lot of time and money from it. So, large big air tight containers (i will also be putting in desiccant).

Anyone know of any good ones? I would likely be willing to drive damn near anywhere but Yilan and Hualian to get them.

Taiyuan street near Taipei main station is full of plastic/glass container stores who carries containers of all shape and sizes. Surely you will find something there.

I also recommend this street. Here it is on Google Maps: http://goo.gl/maps/jJn6

Walk down the street until you find what you're looking for. I think I've seen what you're looking for in the more northern end of the area I've highlighted.
