1) Please search  before posting. Note that you should also search content-relevant forums (like Food & Drink for those items, and not just WCIF). If there is a content-relevant forum, the thread should be there, not here.

2) Please append your request to an existing thread if you find a stale one, rather than starting a new one.

3) Please post separately  for each search item, not one thread for "olives and sour cream". Two threads, one for each. This makes it much easier for the moderator to merge your thread with an existing one, if any.

If you have any trouble using the search function or the forum, please don't hesitate to send a PM (private message) to the Where Can I find...? moderator asking for help. Happy posting!!! :rainbow:

WCIF digital alarm clock in ENGLISH?

Postby PapaAzucar » 13 Jul 2012, 19:21

I see either mechanical alarm clocks, or digital alarm clocks in Chinese.
I have yet to see a digital alarm clock in English.
I am still using my US cell phone as my alarm clock.
Has anyone seen a digital alarm clock in English?

I have a very basic one from carrefour. so basic you don't need to know the language.

Would you settle for Arabic numerals? I've seen a lot of those. Not many that say "Three o'clock" in English, though.

I am referring to the electronic instructions of the digital clocks.
The buttons and menus are in Chinese on all the digital alarm clocks that I've seen here.

Without knowing Chinese, you can't program the clock.

I might look into the Carrefour. Thanks.

Maybe you can ask the clerk to program it for you? They are often helpful in that regard. Just choose a time they are not horribly busy and I am sure they will help waiguoren readily.

Why not just make your own? You'd be surprised what you can accomplish with a sundial, a simple CCD and a joy buzzer.
