Archery stuff in Taipei (you know, bows/arrows)

Discussions about how to find those things that are not immediately obvious

Forum rules
1) Please search  before posting. Note that you should also search content-relevant forums (like Food & Drink for those items, and not just WCIF). If there is a content-relevant forum, the thread should be there, not here.

2) Please append your request to an existing thread if you find a stale one, rather than starting a new one.

3) Please post separately  for each search item, not one thread for "olives and sour cream". Two threads, one for each. This makes it much easier for the moderator to merge your thread with an existing one, if any.

Of course, if you still can't find what you're looking for, please do feel free to post, and we'll do our very best to help you find what you need. If you have any trouble using the search function or the forum, please don't hesitate to send a PM (private message) to the Where Can I find...? moderator asking for help. Happy posting!!! :rainbow:

Shops who do ship arrow stuff overseas often refuses to ship to Taiwan because Taiwan has particularly strict weapons law.

The arrows that I bought were actually from an Ebay seller. I know it sounds silly but its not the shops. It is the shipping companies themselves (e.g. DHL, FedEX etc.)

I use a freight forwarding service in California so I can buy things from merchants that won't ship overseas. Instead, they ship to my freight service in CA. The freight forwarding svc. then forwards the items to me. FedEX and DHL refused to accept the package from my freight forwarding service for intl delivery.

I'll ask somebody I know who makes bows and arrows where he gets his arrow heads from. What kind are you looking for?
Also, I might be able to import tips through my office if you tell me which ones you want, although I will have to look into the mechanics of this.
Send me a PM if you want me to go ahead with this.

Hello friends, I recently started archery with a Taiwanese friend, there are at least 3 sport centres (Jhong Jheng (Zhongzheng), Nankang (Nangang) and Shilin) offering shooting facilities for TWD 100 an hour. We use traditional Asian short bow, some people also learn japanese longbow (Kyudo), some others use olympic-style bows. I'm also interested about info about archery stores, since so far everything my friend shown me was ordered from Internet.

Hello !

While visiting the DongLang Temple and reading about Confucius vision on The Art of Archery - I start thinking of making this a new hobby.
Is the Asian short bow the one which claims to be the one to "master" ?
I am not intending to pay fortunes but how much would a decent package be? (bow + set of arrows and other stuff needed?)
