Mr. Smiley

Postby Enigma » 04 Feb 2012, 17:05

I'm not sure how others feel but that little smily face suggestion image appearing all the time yanks me in bad places. We all know where to make suggestions. Why is it there? Just to piss people off?

You can live here and have a great life and not be the least bit into living the local life. Clowns will try to diss you for it saying you gotta get down with the program, but fuck em, treat this place like a buffet and yous be on a diet. Take what you want and nothing extra, slam those oysters, but leave the bread sticks and dinner rolls behind. - Deuce Dropper

.357? You're such a little girl sometimes. :aiyo: What's wrong with a nice, gentle .44?

I can't stand the "you're mental" smiley. I think it's really rude. :loco:

Same with the ai-yo one. :aiyo: People don't use it about their own silly behaviours, they use it to suggest that other people are being twats.
There are millions of people in the world. And none of those people is an extra. They're all leads in their own stories.

If you lose one sense, your other senses are enhanced. That's why people with no sense of humour have an increased sense of self-importance.

I think then from now on, it should only be used when discussing the likes of David Icke.

I also hate that rolling eye smiley  . Again, what is that saying? Would anyone roll their eyes like that during a conversation without expecting some serious come-back?

If you use it to talk about a third person then it works. Like, "I saw this douche driving his bike along the pavement and I was like  " However it mostly gets used as, "Yeah I hear what you are saying and I think you are some (insert something about the colours blue or green) sympathiser  "

Ai-yo should be for "I fell over on the way to work and made a right fool of myself :aiyo: " Instead it gets used as "You are a dick. :aiyo:" As you rightly say if you used the second example of the eye roll or said ai-yo in that context in a face to face conversation you'd either need to be really really good friends with the other person, or be expecting a fist fight.
