I started the thread but I can't see the first page either. It does show off in "own" posts.

Some code was posted there to help illustrate the problem; that may have been causing this. I've removed it.

Google Chrome says Forumosa has mal ware..

Postby Taiwan_Student » 15 Feb 2012, 10:36

I overid my google chrome suggestion to come to this website. Call it trust or stupidity. When I tried accessing your site on two different computers, Google Chrome said that Google Detected some Mal Ware on its routine searches of the web. Say it isn't so... Joe..

If it isn't, take it up with google. Thanks.

I have been seeing the same message, and I'm not ignoring it. Right now, I'm logged into Forumosa on Linux, using Firefox with Javascript turned-off. Most viruses would need Javascript and/or a browser plug-in to execute malicious code. With everything disabled, you should be safe. Otherwise, a real chance of getting a virus exists.

Not a good situation though, so I hope it gets fixed.

Now you guys got me worried. Nothing here at work -Karpensky- or at home -AVG/Chrome. And the one here at work is oversensitive most of the time.

Chrome is still sending the warnings.

Yup I'm getting them from Chrome as well. Has somebody been spamming from Forumosa and got you guys put on a blacklist?

Folks,

From what I understand, this is only a Chrome issue. Forumosa.org did receive the same warning (I have already shut down that site and rebuilt it at http://new.forumosa.org) because of malware on ANOTHER website (i.e. not forumosa.org)

Well, now Forumosa.org is on Google's blacklist for the next 90 days. If anyone knows how to appeal to Google about getting off that list, please post here or send email to me at gus -at- forumosa.com

Forumosa.org is NOT hosted on the Forumosa server. Should anything happen to the F.com server, we want to have an independent server around to keep people updated. In other words, whatever problems that *might* have occurred on Forumosa.org are physically separate from Forumosa.com

This has been an important lesson for us because we are planning a number of new projects that use the same software that Forumosa.org uses. We'll be extra careful about these new websites going forward

As far as I can see, the last paragraph at the link below is the path to follow to get Google to do another review.

http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=163633

Whether it achieves anything is of course not known.

FWIW, I get the message in Chrome, but not in IE9. AV software (MSE) is the same on the two PC's I have.
