Missing your post from yesterday? Restored the website to Daily Backup

Postby Goose Egg » 31 May 2012, 01:18

Forumosa crashed around the end of the afternoon yesterday (Wed) and my efforts to reboot the server resulted in a loss of data instead.

We seem to be experiencing unusually high traffic lately, so I'm going to upgrade our hosting in the hopes this will address the stability issues, at least for now.

Please bear with us and as we sort things through.

Keep well
gus.

Did you guys saw the crash coming? seems not. Gives some more credibility to the other guys post Forumosa being a rather "old" set-up , or is it purely server related

While some reported slow reaction time loading pages lately, I posted SQL and general errors / crashes days ago.
Anyway, I felt it coming even in my bladder. Shame of lost posts by some.

Ah, thanks for the explanation. I was wondering what had happened.

We upgraded the server to provide more RAM and resources to the site. Hopefully this will help while we plan a new install

I think it is purely server related, but we are still looking into it. The SQL error you saw only appeared last night after I tried a reboot and something happened to the SQL table. I haven't seen that error before yesterday
