Notice period

Well,I was going to give notice and leave the end of the semester. However, they screwed me with my pay this month, so I just said cheers and walked out.

Exactly. I would never have come here if I had to get an ARC through a school. Not prepared to put up with the crap, bend over ,and get reamed.

I still feel sorry for the kids. But as I said to the idiot director "If you gave a shit about the kids, you would treat your staff with a little more respect".

Here's what you do; Leave the school and threaten to call the foreign affairs police on them if they don't treat you better .

Problem is three fold.

They probably would not come. Actually they would, to collect their bribe.
Secondly, if they do raid, I am fucking over the teachers that have their ARC's through the school.

It's not a matter of whether I trust the school. I don't, and never will trust your run of the mill kindy.

Personally, I have never had any trust issues with a school. There have been some minor issues. It has always been turning molehills into mountains, which is pretty common in this country (IMHO).

However, the amount of people that I have heard about, who have had issues when it comes to resigning, predisposes me not to trust them.

I will probably give them notice at the end of the month. Depending on how much they piss me off will determine whether I give 1 week or 2 weeks.

I always thought it was best to give your one week notice on the day you got paid.

But take a week vacation before pay day.

They underpaid me and when I queried it, they should have just said sorry and paid me the the balance.

They could have simply said it was a mistake.

They fucked up by trying to justify it and the offer me a quarter of what was owed.
We are talking a few thousand NT in total. Not a fortune at all.
Once is enough for me.

Walking out of the place was the right decision when they were stealing money from you.
If you get caught stealing at work you can be fired on the spot and it should work the other way around too.

I quit one of my previous jobs for exactly the same reason. They took about 3000 NT$ out of every month pay-check.
Long story short, I got my money and still walked out of there.
