I honestly never expected that anyone at forumosa.com would be denying that cucina sole ads were being shown on this site so I didn't take a screen shot. From my browsing history though this huge ad was shown on the "your message has been submitted" page.

Another little box ad was posted in this very thread. Hard to see how anyone could deny that la cucina sole ads are being shown on fCom. I'm not claiming a conspiracy, just simply putting known facts together. Name changed for no reason + la cucina ads shown on the site. If there is no conspiracy then there's absolutely no reason not to restore the original title.

The only thing that is important from this point on is educating and warning people about this incident and getting to the bottom of it. Things don't happen without causes and conditions. Find out if the foreigners were pulling a scam, or if there is a disgruntled worker or employee that hates foreigners, or find the piece of equipment with the missing screw, etc.... The focus should be on making sure it doesn't happen again, not on brushing it under the carpet.

The compensation to the birthday party diners is low importance in comparison to these other issues in my opinion.

Notice the Cucina Sole name has gone once again from the title.

I think if forumosa is being paid by Cucina then it should say so. Nothing wrong with that. Forumosa needs advertisers to maintain the site.

It should simply say that "due to the fact that Cucina is our advertiser we have been asked not to use their name on this title"

Its not rare for Cucina to not defend themselves though. Many businesses have a policy not to join in internet discussions about them, even to defend themselves because many will still see problems in their defense. SO its often a NO Win situation for them.

Airlines, for example, have a similar policy.

Shouldn't it be the best 'Italian'? Because there not to many restaurants that are owned or/and have an Italian chef! :ponder:

what a silly moderation that was.

The thread was about Cucina Sole feeding a patron a screw then saying 'screw you' to his request. The name should never have been changed, even though they are a site sponsor. In the interests of truth (just like yesterday when my truthful posts were twice deleted by a moderator), it should have been left and Cucina Sole have every right to respond-if they respond in a fair way then people can respect that, recognise CS's site sponsorship and go buy a meal to say thanks.

Yeah, it's getting sillier. All my posts were removed. Didn't break any rules, was quite polite and just stating the facts. I guess Cucina Sole can do no wrong when it comes to forumosa.com. If anyone says otherwise, they are instantly attacked as the OP learned or their posts are deleted.

Heck I didn't even say anything bad about Cucina Sole, I just stressed that the issue needs to be resolved so that it doesn't happen again. Hiding our heads in the sand will not prevent more objects showing up in dishes.

Take a deep breath guys. Electronisk has always been a judicious moderator. Homey, from what I can see, some of your posts have been moved into the Cucina Sole thread. Kea, not sure what happened to yours, but I don't think you ever post stuff that requires deletion, so there's probably a very reasonable explanation for where they've gone.

I know from my short stint as a moderator that when you're pruning or reorganizing a thread, some of the posts go offline for a while.

Why not calm down just a little and give electronisk a bit of time to get things settled and, if he's got time, explain what's going on?

I don't think moderators are perfect beings, but I think most of them deserve the benefit of the doubt. I highly doubt electronisk has any intention here of 'protecting' an advertiser who has flubbed up.
Come on baby, you know you my home slice.

You have quite the faith there Tomas. I doubt that faith will do much good though. There is simply no motivation to do the right thing, the motivation is clearly to take the unethical path and that is what we have been seeing again and again. All efforts have been made to bury this under the carpet. The original thread title and posts are not going to be restored despite your strong faith in the mod.

As always, if you want to understand something, follow the money.
