Chefs Waffle

Postby PapaAzucar » 21 May 2012, 00:05

I haven't seen any mention of this, but Chefs Waffle in Yonghe district is pretty popular with the locals.
There are long lines most every day at

No. 202, Ānlè Road, Yonghe District, New Taipei City, Taiwan 234 (near the Yong'an MRT on the Nanshijiao line).
+886 2 8660 1887
It is actually between Xiuan street, and Lane 198 Ānlè Road.

It opens at 3pm and close whenever the batter runs out (usually around 7pm).
The place is pretty small with only a few tables, but many people take it to go and eat at the park across the street.
The specialty waffles might suit the non-local sweet taste-buds as well, which is why I'm posting it here.

Just wanted to bump this topic to the top.

I walk by Chef's waffle in Yonghe almost every day and whenever it's open there is a line. Just wondering if anyone had tried their waffles yet?

I have had them several different tImes.
And I do recommend it if you are willing to wait in the line.

I'm no psychologist, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that a guy who calls himself King James and has his initials and "Vivat Rex" -- Latin for "Long live the king" -- on his custom-made Nike jacket, and has CHOSEN 1 tattooed across his back and WITNESS tattooed on one calf and HISTORY on the other calf might have a big ego. It is an ego borne of insecurity, and this is why he left for Miami in the first place: He wanted things to be easier. He wanted Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh at his side and South Beach a short drive away. That is the fundamental disconnect between James and Cleveland fans. They gave up on easy a long time ago.
