The tortellini were certainly tasty and I'm happy to hear that portions are increasing.

I enjoyed the swing band last time I saw them, so hopefully will be back to see them and you soon.

Satellitetv is right about the space as in particular Wed, Fri, Sat you really have to make a reservation. As far as the dance in general is concerned, we are doing some construction (not noticeable as it is sealed off) in the back. We lost a bit of space till middle of August and there is not really enough room to have dance lessons comfortably till this is completed.

The addition of Dave Foster to front the Wednesday Swing band is really nice, some forumosans came yesterday as well and think everybody had only positive comments.

Went there last night and found it to be pretty good.

The pizza was basically the same as all fancy Taipei pizzas in my opinion -- thin crispy crust, modest layer of good cheese and nice toppings -- overall pretty tasty but a little too dainty for me and not as good as a giant gourmet pizza back home with hearty crust and generous cheese and other toppings.

Spaghetti and clams? What can I say -- anyone can make spaghetti and clams -- but these passed the test. Simple dish prepared adequately.

The salad was ok. We just ordered a simple basic salad and that's what we got.

Buffalo wings were a disappointment. I realize they're an art form which many attempt but few succeed it. Capones didn't quite get them right.

The drinks were good. I had what they called a kamikazi, which I thought was supposed to be in a shot glass, but came on the rocks, which I thought was called a gimlet, but that's actually what I wanted. No matter. They were decent sized.

Overall, the meal tasted pretty good, no complaints about it, but nothing to write home about.

BUT, it was well worth the experience for the music. Great band -- keyboard, sax, flute, electric bass, saxes, vocals -- that we really enjoyed and good music beforehand too.

I would return. Not spectacular food, but not bad, but a fun experience over all.

We had an excellent dinner there on Sunday. Everything from the appetizers and salad to the fish and pasta to the wines and service was superb. The chef came out to take care of a special dietary need, the waiter helped pick some very nice wines, and the Paraguayan guitar player and singer was a delight. Thanks to Taverncaptain for providing such a nice venue for us to celebrate. I give it all five stars.

How much does it run for a group of 3 or 4 there for dinner (no booze)?

Depends what you eat, obviously. But the prices are reasonable. I think without drinking probably 4 to 500 a head if you ate an entre and a main maybe a little more. Some of the main meat dishes are probably upto 700nt. So it's not expensive.

There's really no point in paying 500-600 for some crappy place like TGIF when you can have a much nicer meal and atmosphere for the same price or only a little more at Capone's.

But Capone's waiters don't have all those nice badges to peruse.
