Hello all food fans, I would like to mention that I have recently opened a small rotisserie restaurant called Papa Poulet, here in sunny Tianmu and am trying to get the word out. (I should perhaps state right here that I am neither french or a papa), (or a chicken for that matter) The Place is small and designed for take out although I have one table for four and a small counter with high stools, perfect for what I believe are the coldest beers in Taipei...
My intention is to cater to families around Tianmu, a complete fresh take home meal. For example a whole chicken and 2 or 3 side dishes for around NT600. Because of that my portions are rather large although I will introduce smaller portions for individuals in the future.
Mainly I serve the roasted lemon and rosemary chicken (whole and legs) roast and mash potatoes, a few salads and some smaller snack items, chicken salad wrap and I have started making spicy (pulled) pork buns. Currently I roast a limited amount of chickens everyday at 11.30am and 5.30 pm, so often sell out by 7.30. Customers can call up and pre-order anything from the menu and set a pick up time.
I won't go on about how delicious everything is (I know it tastes good) but will leave that up to my impartial customers. If you know Tianmu, it is located across the street from Dayeh Tagashimaya, then a block behind. The full address is Zhongzheng Rd, Sec 2, Lane 76 #16-2. (02) 2831-1357
Happy eating,
