tel: 28311357 next to the shidong indoor market building, which btw is actually nice and clean inside considering it is an indoor wet market. Taipei has sure improved.

Specials are not about price, but increasing sales.

Dear boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen, it is with much sadness and displeasure to announce that after closing the Tianmu store in order to move on to a brighter future in Shi-Da the Shi-Da Papa Poulet will not be opening. Despite an enormous amount of effort, work and great cost we have come into legal problems. We were denied a legal operating licence for the building, as it on pubic land, due to be demolished (at some point in the future) and is legally not suitable for any kind of business (something the landlord omitted to tell us) It would be possible to register a business, operate and pay our taxes, as many locals do without a licence, but we have never intended to work on the wrong side of the law. We thought we had found the perfect location to be able to offer our unique product to those of you who have been waiting for so long, but it is not to be. We don't know what the future will bring or whether, after this setback, we will be able to open somewhere else, only time will tell. I am sorry to announce this very disappointing news.
