The Speakeasy is the latest venture of consummate barman Niall Clinton. It's tucked away in the southeast corner of Fuxing South Road and Civil Blvd. It's a great place to meet up with friends, they're open late, and they've got Guinness on tap!

Forgive me, but hasn't alcohol been legal in Taiwan for some time now? You say it's the latest, but isn't it quite a bit late to start a party which has long since started? Unless they sell dope!? Now that's a place worth visiting perhaps!

Now that's a great deal. As for dope, Amsterdam's apparantly all right for that.

The Speakeasy Bar will be open from 8pm everyday now on. Happy Hour will be from 8pm to 9pm.

Some of our Happy Hour specials will be Guinness at 180nt
Taiwan Draft at 90nt
Basic mixed drinks at 120nt.

And of course we still have Irish Happy Hour Every Wednesday Evening where Guinness is 150nt from 8pm -11pm
Wexford Ale is 120nt from 8pm - 11pm
And Guinness and Baileys shots are 50nt all night!

We are also a non-smoking bar now.

The best costume will receive 1500nt drinks voucher for the bar. And the runner up receiving a bottle of Jameson or Baileys that can be drunk at the bar or taken home. The winners will be chosen at 12am.

Sadly the Speakeasy will be closing it's doors temporarily at the end of the month due to legal issues. This Friday will be our last night. So why not pop in over the next few days and have a drink or two (and maybe a wee shot And close the place down in style!
