This has been answered before. You'll have to do a search in this forum. I'm pretty sure it was also in the "Learning Chinese" forum.

2009 seemed to be the time of that discussion ... 6 market cycles ago for a technology product

link is 2002(when the first iPod appeared) to 2005

perhaps there have been some developments since then

I see June 2012 as the date of the first post in that thread. I'm not sure where you got 2002 or 2005 from. Also, it wouldn't hurt to say "thank you".
