Cultural Homestay International?

Postby rowland » 25 May 2012, 09:52

(I almost posted this under Teaching in Taiwan. Apologies if I guessed wrong.)

I'm a newbie, looking to tutor English in Taiwan, while learning Chinese. I've got an application for CHI, but thought I'd check in to see what people here have to say about this organization.

I'm looking to stay only a few months. I know almost no Mandarin, but I'm working on it diligently. I have experience tutoring. I've been to Taiwan once, briefly.

I'm also interested in working with disadvantaged people in Taiwan.

My preference is for the Taipei area. I know people there.

Thanks in advance for any guidance.
I'd rather make my own mistakes than pay the price for someone else's.

Hello,

I am currently a volunteer worker working on promoting Taiwan, which is from an National Youth Travel Commission under Executive Yuan.
Please advise what CHI stand for?
Also, would you like to know more about Taiwan and the culture here?
Please join the group on Facebook called "It's Taiwan. Let's be friends!" thanks!
