Supplement Shops

Postby Andrew31413 » 17 May 2012, 07:59

Looked all over the place but haven't found any good supplement shops for protein and other fitness supplements. Anyone know a place in Taipei?

If you search in Health and Fitness or Sports forums you will find a few different places.

I always buy from this website http://www.pcstore.com.tw/takmg/ , but it's all in Chinese.

You can also try the store that's near ZhongXiao Dunhua... Power House I think it's called. It's on the third floor of the building that has the fried chicken shop in it... if that helps. It's not that cheap though unless they have a sale.

Costco has it. I don't know what it's like though, as I don't go to Costco.

GNC sells it, but it's hella expensive and shit.

There's a few. I'm sure other people have other suggestions.

The best place I have found in Taipei is Hercules. It's in Ximending - you can check out the website http://www.hercules.com.tw

The owner is Mark (English is excellent!) and he can basically get anything you want - plus he has a large supplement inventory on hand.

COSTCO is your best bet in country - other than that, you are going to have better luck shipping internationally. I do know of one person who had his (honestly labeled) package opened by customs who slapped a tax of some sort on it but he claimed to have done it for 5+ years so wasn't that upset about it.

Clogs are turning that will move the supplement being classified as medical products to being the same as food & drink which should result in reduced prices for import products - when things will actually happen would be anybody's good guess.
