Uh, yes, i used to ride Yang Ming Shan every weekend. Sometimes twice or thrice in a day.

I do miss the big mountains of Taiwan. That's about all I miss, but still, I miss them.
The prizes are a bottle of f*!@#$% SCOTCH and a box of cheap f!@#$#$ CIGARS!

I would have liked to do the run, but have had a minor tear on my archilles. I rested up from Feb till end May. Just started doing hiking hill repeats again, lost a lot of fitness. :(

I agree with you, to be serious-cycling on Yangming Shan and other big mountains in Taiwan is fantastic. You must have been really fit. And further, Cadel is a great rider, the mountains are not too hard for him!

However, I stopped as I used to get a tight back/neck. Now, hiking is my preference, and I believe it's tougher, more demanding physically, since it's constantly tough.

I was really fit. Emphasis on WAS.

then I got old and fat and slow.
