psychologist/counselor/therapist in Taichung

Postby rice_t » 03 Aug 2012, 14:03

The (Taiwanese) wife of a (foreign) friend who passed away recently needs help getting on with her life, her children, the family business. She doesn't have many people to talk with about her problems, probably because she thinks that she can't talk about it with her Taiwanese friends. To cut it short, I think she needs professional help.

Does anybody know a good therapist, TW or foreign, in Taichung that I could introduce to her? I guess I would need to persuade her first to accept counselling, but I hope that I could get her to try it.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Thanks, what puts me off is that they are Christian, plus the Chinese introduction says that they are doing counseling for foreigners in Taiwan, but I might give it a shot anyway.

Nobody else?

I'm no psychologist, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that a guy who calls himself King James and has his initials and "Vivat Rex" -- Latin for "Long live the king" -- on his custom-made Nike jacket, and has CHOSEN 1 tattooed across his back and WITNESS tattooed on one calf and HISTORY on the other calf might have a big ego. It is an ego borne of insecurity, and this is why he left for Miami in the first place: He wanted things to be easier. He wanted Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh at his side and South Beach a short drive away. That is the fundamental disconnect between James and Cleveland fans. They gave up on easy a long time ago.
