Urine therapy?

Here's a basic question - why am i going to such lengths to convince you people? I have nothing to do with Taiwan or you guys. I just bumped into this website and all i did was post my experience, which was asked for by the original poster. I said upfront I am not selling you anything. My sole intention was to increase awareness of alternative therapies.
Someone started this topic to get more info about urine therapy, and I'm just helping that person since nobody here seemed to know anything about it. All I'm saying is, one should at least accept that there are ways of treating our ailments with methods other than what our doctor tells us. If fact, you guys are the westerners living in Taiwan, the real adventurers, so to say. I'm sure you have had more than a few startling exposures to new foods, peoples, cultural beliefs, and... yes, therapies. I would have thought you would be more tolerant of new experiences and concepts.
But any way, I do not wish to convince you guys about anything. I hope one day this therapy will gain acceptance into the mainstream, OR you yourself will find out more about it through experience, which is quite an epiphany, i can guarantee that. I recommend at least experimenting with external applications, it's not as revolting as ingestion for a beginner - just to see what happens. Please visit this website for some basic info:
Good luck. Hopefully this is my last post here.
Have fun in Taiwan, maybe I'll come there someday in the course of my travels.

"Fyi, the most extensive research on UT is currently being carried out in Germany."

Research, huh? So that's what German porn is called nowadays.

I won't bother to read everything posted, but I do remember seeing an article in a Taiwanese magazine that talked about a family that drinks their 尿尿 everyday for its health benifits. I'm glad it's working for ya :) .

Hey Miki, your weblink is a load of crap. I did not see a single peer-reviewed scientific paper there, nor any references. Instead, all I saw was a bunch of claptrap with no scientific backup whatsoever.
Provide us with links to UT articles and abstracts in journals such as Lancet, Gut, AJP, BMJ, etc. You get the picture. Peer-reviewed work with references, not some half-assed self-help website.
No hurry, take your time. I'm off to collect some toads.

I'm curious about urine therapy. Can you answer a few questions?

I think you said something about starting with external treatment. So you wash or soak in piss or rub it on yourself? What exactly do you mean by external application and what does it do for a person?

How about the drinking of piss -- how does that work? Does one start with a little and increase the dosage? How much would one drink? How often?

What benefits are gained by drinking piss? Do you know why it would confer any benefits? Isn't piss liquid that your kidneys filtered out because they decided it is toxic waste that should be excreted? Why would one benefit from drinking toxic waste product?

Not mocking you, just curious. Thanks.

There was an article in one of the English newspapers a few years back. The guy had some terrible disease, cancer or something, started drinking his own urine, and got cured. Gahndi did it. You drink it in the morning, your first pee of the day. Don't drink what first comes out or the last few drops. That's about all I can remember. I haven't tried it.

Hi this is probably too old by now but ill try.
I have tried UT before with good results. I have started it again for cleaning up my body and within a few days I had extreem pain. Drank all urin passed and pain went away. Came back a week later and I have a 4 mm kideny stone which I am waiting to pass in hospital...
Where can I find more info on this connection? Did the ut create or enable excretion of atone and either way if there are stones as this often passed without knowing should one be drinking them???
I am hurting badly and confused...
Still drinking disstilled water (for about a year now) and no animal products or other risk factors (perhaps only oxelate from plants and Na.).

Thanks for any informed advice,
Please explain your advice as I am trying to understand this thoroughly.

Peace and health to you.
