Forum rules
This forum is for the listing, promotion, and discussion of the specifics of events in Taipei and Xinbei. Please include a date in your title (e.g. 3/25) and - in the post - an address in English if possible. If you are providing the information in the form of an online photograph/flyer/poster, it is also advisable to provide the essential details in text as well, so as to facilitate ease of cut-and-paste.

As we wish to encourage people to post their events here, negative commentary isn't welcome in the Events forums. You are, however, more than welcome to post the same debate-encouraging negative criticism of bands, artists, etc. in the Arts & Entertainment or other appropriate forums.

Forumosans:

To celebrate the release of the all-new ROCK CLIMBING TAIWAN guidebook, festivities will be held this Saturday, April 14, from 9am-12pm at the north entrance (Ho-Mei Elementary School) to the spectacular cliffs of Long Dong, on the Northeast Coast (20km south of Keelung (Jilong), 10km north of Fulong). The guidebook will be available for purchase, along with t-shirts and other memorabilia. Custom-roasted coffee will be served courtesy of Shake House Café.

ROCK CLIMBING TAIWAN is the all-new, full-color guidebook to one of the world’s top coastal dragging destinations: the spectacular sea cliffs of Long Dong, on Taiwan’s Northeast Coast. Widely anticipated by climbers in Taiwan and around the globe, the guidebook includes extensive color photography, text in both English and Chinese, detailed route descriptions and maps, climbing history, and all the information you need for an awesome travel experience in Asia’s most scenic rock climbing destination.

For more information, see the Rock Climbing Taiwan Facebook Page
Website (updating now; online sales start later this week): http://www.climbstone.com

If you can't join us at the party but wish to see the book, check it out at Ting San Iou or other outdoor retailers on Zhongshan N. Rd near Taipei Station.

Hope to see you out there!
