As all Americans know, the Fourth of July isn’t really about being patriotic – it’s an excuse to have a rooftop or backyard barbeque, to consume copious amounts of alcohol, and to watch some fantastic fireworks. So what are Americans living in Taipei supposed to do in place of these time-honored traditions? For starters, don’t expect fireworks. But DO look forward to having drinks with friends at Dazzling Champagne Bar, where Taipei543 is co-hosting a July 4th party. Free shots will be served to anyone wearing red, white, and blue. So grab your friends, and if they’re not American, brief them on why July 4th is a special day and come join us at Dazzling Champagne for a night of fun and celebration!
