Hurrah, It's time for another Canadian social networking night! On Thursday, August 23, at 7:00 pm, come out to the Church Bar and meet some of our new members, and if you're a new member yourself, or would like to be one, then you should definitely come out - we're a friendly bunch, and we especially welcome Canadians and "Friends of Canada".

The cost is $500 for members, and $600 for non-members, but don't worry - we are accepting new members now, so please feel free to sign up at the door and get discounted entry!

Entry to the event gets you either 2 pints of Taiwan Beer or one pint of any other draft; OR one standard mixed drink or basic cocktails; OR one glass of either white or red house wine.

If you haven't renewed your membership at CanCham, now's the time! And this year, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Taipei is pleased to be able to offer its members a membership card that will get you great discounts all around town, and even outside of Taipei!

If you're traveling overseas, do yourself a favor and bring a pen. You would not believe how many people travel without one, and you need one to fill out the immigration forms. I carry some, but I can’t carry 200.
