Yoga in Taipei

Postby rickychan » 15 Jan 2012, 13:57

I'd like to practice yoga (or Chee-Kung) in Taipei/Taichung. Has anybody got any recommendations? I'm kinda adverse to the very commercial yoga schools. Your suggestions would be much appreciated.

Suggest you contact Amanda Huang of Nirvana Iyengar Yoga Center. The site is in Chinese but she speaks excellent English,

Her number is at the bottom of the page and I think you can find them on facebook too.

Not sure if Swami Salami is still teaching near Guting.

If you are still looking for some yoga in Taipei, I am a certified yoga teacher who has trained in Boston, Los Angeles and India. I am currently looking to expand my client base here in Taiwan. I am influenced by many styles including Iyengar, Hatha, Ashtanga and Anusara. If you have any interest, drop me a line via Facebook! Search: Jessica Caimi

Hi, I hear what you're saying about the commercial studios. The biggest one here in Taichung is in a shopping mall. =P I run a small home studio in the Beitun district of Taichung; there's more info at . At your service!

My name is Bridget and I offer a Hatha Yoga class every Monday night near Shi-Da Rd. and hope to open more soon as I find enough studios. I'm an American who has been teaching yoga in Taiwan for 3 years, including at one of the major studios in town. I have over 300 hr of training. My classes are fun and open to all levels.

Message me for more details.

I don't like commercial yoga chain either. I recommend going to smaller yoga studios where they have small class size. I enjoy the personal attention I get from smaller classes and I don't think I'll go back to big commercial chains. There's a yoga studio I go to on Zhongxiao East Road. The yoga instructor speaks English and is an Registered Yoga Teacher accredited by Yoga Alliance International. I highly recommend this place
