Skiing in Taiwan

Postby robinhood5000 » 15 May 2012, 16:40

Hi all,

I tried searching for it, but couldn't find what I was after.

Is there an indoor skiing place in Taiwan somewhere? I saw a picture of one.
Can anyone tell me where it is and how much it costs to go for a spin there?

Thanks.

I saw a pic of a proposed place, some time ago. Don't think anything came of it.

Ah, I see.

Could be either of those (pic of a Japanese one or a proposed, non-existent one).

It was in a leaflet from one of those agents that arranges trips for groups and stuff. It suggested that this place was in Taiwan and was offering trips there. Could well be rubbish though.

Thanks for the responses. If I find out anything, I'll post back.

Just came across this thread looking for an indoor skiing place for a friend.

There's one in Hsinchu called Little Ding-Dong (小叮噹). I have no idea if it's too small to be worthwhile or not, as I'm not a skier. Details are below.

Address:
新竹縣新豐鄉松柏村康和路199號
No. 199, Kanghe Rd., Songbai Village, Xinfeng Township, Hsinchu County
Map

Details:
* 60 meters long, 30 meters wide, 14 degree slope
* It's included in the cost of a Little Ding-Dong entry ticket (Adult 500, Student 400, Child 350, Senior 250).
* Open 8:30-5 daily

60 meter ski run takes about 4 seconds.

problem?
The prizes are a bottle of f*!@#$% SCOTCH and a box of cheap f!@#$#$ CIGARS!

Too many people! Almost all of the world's problems are due to overpopulation. The rest are due to religion.
