I dunno why applying for ARC is getting tough for me?

Postby e.safipour » 09 Apr 2012, 16:01

Hi everyone... I'm an Iran citizen who got marry with my Taiwanese wife last year. After preparing all my documents (marriage certificate, Taiwan Household Registration and my Marriage Registration), I was able to get my 60days extendable visitor visa on 19 March 2012. I got here to Taiwan on 22 March 2012 and within 15 working days I present my self at NIA to apply for my ARC. One week after some investigators came over to our house to see if we are really living together. Some days later, we received a call from them and they were asking me to present my family properties and economic situation.
I don't have any problem with that, cause I have all these documents prepared back in my country as I was applying for Canada student visa before, but my question is to know is it really part of the procedure to check my family properties and economic situation back in Iran? :ponder:

Not from my experience.
In my case they did not ask for any information regarding finances property etc, nor have they ever visited. Possibly because my passport is one that is recognized as a native English speaking country.
However, with the JFRV, you do have open work rights.

It could very well be political, with all the issues with Iran at the moment?

The problem with most bureaucratic situations here, is that there is not single set of rules applied in all cases, and all are open to interpretation by the bureaucrat dealing with the case.

Did you supply all the other documents correctly, such as criminal record check, health exams and certificate showing you are not married in Iran?

Thanks Bigduke6 for respond.... Yup I submitted all documents they required. possibly its because of Irans' political issues nowadays, which makes them be more curious about my case.... anyway I'm preparing their new requirements... Let's see what's gonna happen!!!???
