Question for UK APRC holders

For those of you from the UK who have been through the APRC application process, I wonder if you can help with a question: is it the ACRO Police Certificate that UK nationals are supposed to get? I'm confused because a) it seems to be for travel and not residency purposes; and b) are there any extra supporting docs required, as Taiwan is not one of the specified countries?

Have you read this APRC thread especially for Brits? It has a detailed guide including police reports.

You need to get one of these from you local Police Force, mine was Avon & Somerset.
