APRC Question

Postby James651 » 28 Apr 2012, 10:14

This probably has been answered, but I don't want to search through all the threads. Does a US citizen have to go back to the US to obtain a Criminal record check in applying for an APRC?

1. Yes. It has been answered. Numerous times.

2. No. You can do it yourself by mail from Taiwan. You can do it yourself by mail while in the US. You can have someone else assist you with the paperwork shuffle, but you need to provide your own fingerprints and signed application request form. No one can request a background check for you, you must make the request yourself, but paperwork shuffle assistance is alright. Lastly, the APRC requires an FBI background check, no other police background checks (State, Municiple) will suffice as of August 15, 2008. The only office which can authenticate the FBI background check is the TECRO office in Washington DC, which is the main US office in charge of all the other lower unit TECOs.

3. Read the first page of the APRC Application thread because that hard-working GOD Northcoast Surfer keeps the first page up to date with current information. Sometimes I wonder why he bothers.
You can live here and have a great life and not be the least bit into living the local life. Clowns will try to diss you for it saying you gotta get down with the program, but fuck em, treat this place like a buffet and yous be on a diet.
