As I understand it even when abroad if you are still a resident of Canada you must pay taxes there.
I am a resident in Canada but I have a business and live here in Taiwan. All my money gets put into my bank account in Canada, so they will have electronic records of all of it, no hiding that.
So I have figured there is no way out of this gouge, so I am going to go ahead and start filing it.
But I am wondering because its my own business, do I still need a biz license and all the otehr fees associated with doing this business in canada? Or can i just simply state self employed and leave it at that? I cant see why I would need one at all seen as nothing but the final income even touches canada, but too often things tend to make less sense than they should.
Thanks for any input
