Help! IRS Messed Up My Refund Check Name

So I got my 2012 refund checks a few months back and the federal + local tax agencies messed up the spelling in my name and now the bank won't let me cash it. :doh:

Any ideas on how I can get them to send me a corrected refund check? Both my federal + local refund checks need corrections.

Have you tried calling them and asking them to correct your name and send new ones?

I heard it was a real waiting pain trying to reach them via phone. Anyone know a better way to reach them or I just gotta straight out call them? Thx for the tip anyway tho :cool:

So you don't want to call on the phone? Then send an email or go to the office in person, I guess. What other ways would there be? Facebook maybe?
